Resolution

Seconded by: Councillor Lori Lococo
WHEREAS all meetings of Council are to be open to the public; and
WHEREAS the only time a meeting or part of a meeting may be closed to the public is if the
subject matter falls under one of the exceptions under section 239 of the Municipal Act.
WHEREAS on October 7, 2025, Niagara Falls City Council will be holding Closed Meetings as
permitted under s. 239 (2) of the Municipal Act, namely;
(c) a proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the municipality;
(d) labour relations or employee negotiations
(e) litigation or potential litigation, including matters before administrative tribunals,
affecting the municipality or local board;
(f) advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communication necessary
for that purpose
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that on October 7, 2025 Niagara Falls City Council will go into
a closed meeting to consider matters that fall under s. 239 (2) (c) a proposed or pending
disposition of land by the municipality in relation to two city owned properties; (d) labour relations
related to a collective agreement; (e) litigation or potential litigation on two land matters before
the Ontario Land Tribunal; and (e) and (f) advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege
regarding the Municipal Accommodation Tax by-law.
AND The Seal of the Corporation be hereto affixed. Carried Unanimously
