WHEREAS all meetings of Council are to be open to the public; and
WHEREAS the only time a meeting or part of a meeting may be closed to the public is if the
subject matter falls under one of the exceptions under section 239 of the Municipal Act.
WHEREAS on October 28, 2025, Niagara Falls City Council will be holding Closed Meetings as
permitted under s. 239 (2) of the Municipal Act, namely;
(c) a proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the municipality;
(k) a position, plan, procedure, criteria or instruction to be applied to any negotiations
carried on or to be carried on by or on behalf of the municipality or local board.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that on October 28, 2025 Niagara Falls City Council will go into
a closed meeting to consider matters that fall under s. 239 (2) (c) a proposed or pending
disposition of land by the municipality in relation to four city owned properties; and (k) a position,
plan, procedure, criteria or instruction to be applied to any negotiations carried on or to be carried
on by or on behalf of the municipality related to the Municipal Accommodation Tax.
AND The Seal of the Corporation be hereto affixed. Carried Unanimously
