WHEREAS all meetings of Council are to be open to the public; and
WHEREAS the only time a meeting or part of a meeting may be closed to the public is if the
subject matter falls under one of the exceptions under section 239 of the Municipal Act.
WHEREAS on December 9, 2025, Niagara Falls City Council will be holding Closed Meetings as
permitted under s. 239 (2) of the Municipal Act, namely;
(c) a proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the municipality;
(e) litigation or potential litigation, including matters before administrative tribunals
(f) advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege, including communications necessary
for that purpose.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that on December 9, 2025 Niagara Falls City Council will go
into a closed meeting to consider matters that fall under s. 239 (2) (c) a proposed or pending
disposition of land by the municipality in relation to three city owned properties; and (e) & (f)
litigation or potential litigation as well as advice that is subject to solicitor-client privilege for a
matter before the Ontario Land Tribunal as well as a matter related to the Municipal
Accommodation Tax.
AND The Seal of the Corporation be hereto affixed. Carried Unanimously
