WHEREAS all meetings of Council are to be open to the public; and
WHEREAS the only time a meeting or part of a meeting may be closed to the public is if the
subject matter falls under one of the exceptions under section 239 of the Municipal Act.
WHEREAS on February 10, 2026, Niagara Falls City Council will be holding Closed Meetings as
permitted under s. 239 (2) of the Municipal Act, namely;
(c) a proposed or pending acquisition or disposition of land by the municipality or local
board;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that on February 10, 2026 Niagara Falls City Council will go
into a closed meeting to consider matters that fall under s. 239 (2) (c) regarding proposed
acquisition of land for a hospice as well as pending disposition of land owned by the municipality.
AND The Seal of the Corporation be hereto affixed.
