WHEREAS the Regional Municipality of Niagara (the Region) approved the Public Domain Incentives
Program; and
WHEREAS the pilot is a part of the Region's Smarter Niagara Incentives program; and
WHEREAS municipalities that have a Community Improvement Plan (CIP) in place and are participating in
the Smarter Niagara Incentives program can apply for funding to a maximum amount of $100,000; and
WHEREAS the eligibility guidelines for the Public Domain Incentives Program indicate that to be available
for funding a project must be a public realm improvement included within a CIP; and
WHEREAS priority will be given to streetscape improvement projects; and
WHEREAS Niagara Falls City Council adopted the Historic Drummondville CIP in 2006; and
WHEREAS integral to Yhe Historic Drummondville CIP are Streetscape Improvements; and
WHEREAS the Main & Ferry Business Improvement Area (BIA) has committed $200,000 to streetscape
improvements and tbe pxoject is identified in the City's Capital Budget.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of Corporation of the City ofNiagara Falls supports an
application to Regional Municipality ofNiagara for funding under the Public Domain Incentives Program for
the Streetscape Improvements far Historic Drummondville.
