WHEREAS all meetings of Council are to be open to the public; and
WHEREAS the only time a meeting or part of a meeting may be closed to the public is if
the subject matter falls under one of the exceptions under s. 239(2) of the Municipal Act.
WHEREAS on November 22"d, 2022, Niagara Falls City Council will be holding Closed
Meetings as permitted under s. 239 (2) of the Municipal Act, namely;
(k) a position, plan, procedure, criteria or instruction to be applied to any
negotiations carried on or to be carried on by or on behalf of the municipality or
local board.
(f) advice that is subject to solicitor -client privilege, including communications
necessary for that purpose.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that on November 22"d, 2022 Niagara Falls City Council
will go into a closed meeting to consider matters that fall under section 239 (2) (k) and (f)
to discussion negotiations around sole sourcing of a service and to receive legal advice
regarding a Planning matter.
