WHEREAS the Provincial government introduced the Ontario Transit Renewal Program in 2002;
and
WHEREAS the program creates a partnership that will assist municipalities in replacing and
refurbishing existing transit fleets; and
WHEREAS Niagara Transit requires a bus replacement program for its aging fleet; and
WHEREAS the Corporation of the City of Niagara Falls is entitled to 1/a of replacement and
refurbishment costs under the Ontario Transit Renewal Program.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT pursuant to the Ontario Transit Renewal Program, the
Council of the Corporation of the City of Niagara Falls hereby requests payment of renewal funds
for conventional transit vehicles in the amount of $346,112.00.
AND The Seal of the Corporation be hereto affixed.

Request for an Allocation of Vehicle Program Funding
Conventional Transit Vehicles for the Year 2005
Pursuant to the Ontario Transit Vehicle Program - Guidelines and Requirements (the "Guidelines and Requirements"),
the Council of the Corporation of the
City of Niagara Falls (the "Corporation")
(hereby requests an allocation of vehicle program funding for the year 20 05, for conventional transit vehicles in:
the amount of $ 346,112.00
The Council of the Corporation understands and agrees that the said funding shall be expended in accordance with the
Guidelines and Requirements and for conventional transit vehicles. A detailed estimate of how the allocation is proposed
to be spent (Form ON-T-l, pg 2) is attached hereto.
Furthermore, by submitting this request for an allocation of vehicle program funding, the Council of the Corporation
acknowledges and agrees that the Corporation shall be bound by all the terms and conditions set out in the Guidelines
and Requirements.
This request for an allocation of vehicle program funds has been authorized by a resolution of the Council of the
