It is hoped that this letter will minimize the number of members of the public attending Monday and being disappointed if the matter is deferred. The Developer for the application has requested a deferral.. Although it will ultimately be up to City Council, such requests for deferral by the applicant are routinely granted; therefore, there will not be a report to, or decision by, City Council regarding the matter-noted above on August 13th. One of the reasons for the request for deferral is that the Developer has become aware of concerns expressed by neighbouring residents related to their application. As a result, the developer would like to have a Neighbourhood Meeting with you. Often such neighbourhood meetings are effective in providing more information, clearing up possible confusion, responding to questions and finding opportunities for compromise and consensus. The Neighbourhood Meeting is scheduled as follows: Thundering Waters Village Neighbourhood Meeting Tuesday, August 215 7:00 p.m. City Hall, Committee Room #2A/ 2B (Basement) 4310 Queen Street Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience the deferral may have caused.
