WHEREAS all meetings of Council are to be open to the public; and
WHEREAS the only time a meeting or part of a meeting maybe closed to the public if the subject
matter falls under one of the exceptions under s. 239(2) of the Municipal Act, 2001; and
WHEREAS under s. 239 (3.1) of the Municipal Act, 2001, Council may have a meeting closed to
the public for education or training purposes.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT on Monday, October 22, Niagara Falls Council will
go into a closed meeting to consider a matter that falls under the subject matter of 239(2)(d) of the
Municipal Act, 2001, labour relations and employee negotiations and s. 239(3.1) of the Municipal
Act, 2001.
