SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING
July 23, 2013
Council met on Tuesday, July 23rd, 2013 in Council Chambers at 4:05 p.m. Mayor
Diodati offered the Opening Prayer. All members of Council, except Councillor Morocco
were present.

REPORTS
1. BDD-2013-02 - Project Management, WEGO Transit Facility
The report recommends the following:
1. That the firm MHPM Project Managers Inc. be awarded the project management
assignment for the construction for the WEGO Transit facility; and
2. That the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to execute the necessary documents.
Karl Dren, Director of Transportation Services, outlined the report provided Council
with an update.
ORDERED on the motion of Councillor Thomson, seconded by Councillor
Pietrangelo that the report be approved as recommended.

Geoff Holman, Director of Municipal Works, provided an update on the impact the
storm that occurred July 19th had on the City.

MAYOR'S REPORTS, ANNOUNCEMENTS
Mayor Diodati offered condolences to Tim Bell, a city employee, on the recent
passing of Eleanor Bell.
Mayor Diodati thanked Councillor Pietrangelo for taking over the role of Acting
Mayor during his holidays.
Mayor Diodati reminded the public that City Council Meetings begin at 5:00 p.m. on
Tuesdays.

BY-LAWS
ORDERED on the motion of Councillor Pietrangelo, seconded by Councillor Maves
that the by-laws be given a first reading.
Carried Unanimously
2013-119 A by-law to authorize the execution of an Agreement with MHPM Project
Managers Inc. dated July 23, 2013, respecting the provision of project
management services for the Niagara Falls Bus Maintenance and Storage
Facility. ( Hand Out)
2013-120 A by-law to adopt, ratify and confirm the actions of City Council at its Special
meeting held on the 23rd day of July, 2013.
ORDERED on the motion of Councillor Pietrangelo, seconded by Councillor Maves
that the by-laws be given a second and third reading.
Carried Unanimously
ORDERED on the motion of Councillor loannoni, seconded by Councillor Maves
that the meeting be adjourned at 4:55 p.m.
