12/02/2014 Inaugural INAUGURAL MEETING Scotiabank Convention Centre December 2, 2014 In accordance with the provisions of the Municipal Act and By-law No. 89 -155 of the City of Niagara Falls, the Council met at 6:30 p.m. at the Scotiabank Convention Centre. The City Clerk called the 2014 - 2018 Council Inaugural Meeting of to order. The Council included His Worship Mayor Jim Diodati and Councillors Wayne Campbell, Kim Craitor, Carolynn loannoni, Vince Kerrio, Joyce Morocco, Victor Pietrangelo, Mike Strange and Wayne Thomson. All members were present. Town Crier Derek Tidd delivered a traditional cry. Casey Hyde sang the National Anthem. Father Chris Kulig offered the Prayer of Invocation. The City Clerk called upon His Worship Justice of the Peace Bruce Phillips, who administered the Oath of Office to City Council and His Worship Mayor Jim Diodati. The Statutory Declarations of Office and Qualifications were filed with the City Clerk. His Worship Mayor Jim Diodati delivered his inaugural address. ORDERED on the motion of Councillor Campbell, seconded by Councillor Craitor that Council officially thank Father Chris Kulig for offering the Prayer of Invocation for the Inaugural Council meeting. Carried Unanimously ORDERED on the motion of Councillor loannoni, seconded by Councillor Kerrio that Council officially thank His Worship Justice of the Peace Bruce Phillips for presiding over the swearing -in ceremony for the Inaugural Council meeting. Carried Unanimously ORDERED on the motion of Councillor Morocco, seconded by Councillor Pietrangelo that Council officially thank Town Crier Derek Tidd, the Niagara Falls Concert Band, Casey Hyde and the Royal Canadian Sea Cadet Corp for their participation in the Inaugural Council meeting. Carried Unanimously ORDERED on the motion of Councillor Strange, seconded by Councillor Thomson that the Inaugural meeting of the 2014 - 2018 Niagara Falls City Council be adjourned.
