WHEREAS the City has hosted a number of events in the area of the Niagara Falls History
Museum and Sylvia Place Market; and
WHEREAS the "4th Annual Niagara Falls Night of Art" is an annual event that celebrates
music, art and culture; and
WHEREAS the event is scheduled for September 24th ; and
WHEREAS the organizers would like to provide alcohol to the public for the event; and
WHEREAS to obtain a Special Occasion Liquor Licence from the Alcohol & Gaming
Commission of Ontario (AGCO), the event requires a resolution of Council recognizing it as
a public event of municipal significance; and
WHEREAS the event is significant as it provides exposure to the local artist community and
the Historic Drummondville area.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Niagara Falls City Council considers "Niagara Falls
Night of Art" to be an event of municipal significance and supports the provision of a Special
Occasion Liquor Licence (SOP) for the event.
