WHEREAS Heart Niagara is a charitable not-for-profit organization incorporated, founded in
1977 to improve heart health services in Niagara; and
WHEREAS Heart Niagara recently moved locations to 4635 Queen Street; and
WHEREAS in association with their grand opening on August 18th , they wish to host a dinner
event on Queen Street; and
WHEREAS the organizers would like to provide alcohol to the public for the event; and
WHEREAS to obtain a Special Occasion Liquor Licence (SOP) from the Alcohol & Gaming
Commission of Ontario (AGCO), the Festival requires a resolution of Council recognizing it
as a public event of municipal significance.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that Niagara Falls City Council considers the Heart Niagara
event to be of municipal significance and supports the provision of a Special Occasion Liquor
Licence (SOP) for the event.
AND The Seal of the Corporation be hereto affixed.
